Accessibility statement

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Our commitment

WCAGGuard helps people find and fix accessibility problems on their websites, so we hold wcagguard.com to the same standard. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we are adding the WCAG 2.2 Level AA checks as we go.

Conformance status

wcagguard.com partially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conforms means some parts of the site do not yet fully meet the standard. The known gaps are listed below.

This is a self-assessment. It has not been verified by an independent auditor.

How we check this site

We scan our pages with axe-core, the same open-source engine that powers WCAGGuard, and review our page templates for headings, text alternatives, link and button labels, color contrast and keyboard access. Automated tools find many accessibility issues but not all of them, so we are adding manual keyboard and screen reader testing. Until that is complete, this statement is based on automated checks and our own review.

What we have done

  • Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled controls so they can be navigated with assistive technology.
  • Meaningful images have text alternatives. Purely decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
  • Menus, including the mobile menu and the product list, can be opened with a keyboard, and the mobile menu reports whether it is open or closed.
  • Our product pages offer a light and a dark theme.

Known limitations

  • Text inside images. Product banners and promotional images include product names and taglines as part of the artwork. The same information appears in the page text, and each image has a text alternative.
  • Third-party content. Card payments are handled by a form from Stripe, and we use Microsoft Clarity for analytics. We choose these providers with accessibility in mind, but we do not control their code.
  • JavaScript. Our interactive tools, such as questionnaires and calculators, need JavaScript to work.
  • New pages. Some pages are new and have not yet been through a full review.

If you run into a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us.

Compatibility

We design wcagguard.com for current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, and for use with common screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver. The site is built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and relies on all three.
